MP3 is LOSSY just like AAC. MP3 as with AAC uses "Psycho-Accoustic modeling" to eliminate frequencies that typically cannot be heard by the human ear, or are masked by other frequencies and are thus not heard. This removal of frequency data makes MP3 a lossy codec format. FLAC is LOSSLESS but it results in massive file sizes! WRONG! MP3 is LOSSY just like AAC.
